At the NICHE lab, our work focuses on identifying and developing effective multi-component food retail and charitable food system interventions that increase access to nutritious options in under-resourced communities and encourage healthy choices.

Our Studies

Community Health

We host and participate in community health promotion events, such as vaccine drives, health fairs, cooking classes, walks, and voter registration events.

Research

We develop and rigorously evaluate programs that pair direct access to nutritious foods with behavioral strategies that make healthy choices easier by conducting paid research studies.

Advocacy

We participate in equitable food and health system advocacy by working with non-partisan organizations to advance food and health policy across the US and Texas.
